”As always The Roger Thorpe hits the mark! 10/10! Great service and food. I spoke to a guest who had never stayied before and he said exactly the same! 5 star service, food and room! Great to support a local family hotel. I will be staying again very soon.”

”Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Room was great apart from a tea stain on the skirting board. Ridiculous charge of £20 pp to use the pool after 9am and no spa treatments available, so basically we could have stayed anywhere rather than having a “spa break “. ”

”I found some nail clippings on the carpet at the side of the bed. Wall was stained with a large coffee splash. Very poor soundproofing between rooms. Rooms and bed quite small, heating didn't work so room was cold. No fridge. Breakfast was particularly poor. Watery, tasteless orange juice. Bacon tasted only of salt, sausages cheap and tasteless, stale loaf left out from one day to the next.”

”I got a room that is suitable for disabled people. Bathroom wasn't really nice. Room was also one of those rooms that could be connected to the other room. Too bad that it also meant that I could hear everything that was happening in the room next to mine. Not nice to hear loud voices in the middle of the night. When I mentioned that while checking out, the lady in the reception said that because I booked through hotels.com I didn't get that good room. Should book directly from the hotel, she...

”Fabulous new hotel and lovely room. Room was warm though with no opening windows and fresh air. AC wouldn’t stay on so may be a teething problem. Room was fabulous apart from that. Hot breakfast items were lukewarm which was disappointing. Plenty of choice. ”

”Beautiful room, amenities and excellent customer service by hotel staff! We had an early flight the morning we had to leave and they kindly prepared us a breakfast to-go that we took on our way to the airport. It was delicious and very much appreciated. ”
