”This is our favorite place to stay in Waikiki. We come to surf and it's always been easy to store our surfboards, but this visit, the surfboard racks were gone. They had moved the surfboard storage to a room, so the bell desk people had to open it for us when we left, and open it again when we returned with our boards. It just wasn't as convenient and the bell desk personnel had to come twice (before we could lock them up ourselves). The 2 restaurants (Duke's and Hula Grill) are great, the staff...

”This place is an absolute dump. I don't think it would pass for a 2-star hotel in Europe or Asia. Don't book the ocean view room, the windows will rattle to a point where it's impossible to sleep with the slightest of waves. The prices are beyond ludicrous. Spent a few nights here, expecting this to be the dream Hawaiian getaway after trekking around the island - it was the worst hotel we stayed in. We had to change rooms 3 times to get something remotely habitable... this at a $400/night...

”We spent part of our honeymoon in Beach comber and overall our time there was great. Hotel is in great location and our room was nice and clean. However when checking in and out, we felt that staff was quit busy and we didnt feel like having warm welcome or goodbyes.. There was little bottles of Prosecco waiting in our room, but that's all about "honeymoon treatment". ”

”First thing I did was ask for a locker and an employee kindly took me to the lockers except they were all bent and none of them locked properly. The capsules smelled funky, like damp if not moldy, and the bed sheets were made of some weird material. Showers were a little unclean too and the shower curtains definitely needed changing. Other than that it was okay, and the location was excellent, as its in the middle of everything. The view from the common area was kinda nice too since its on the...

”We had a two-storey room with a sea view and it was really nice. The view was amazing over a black beach facing the island of Moorea. The service in the hotel was good. The restaurant was full on Friday and you have to take a taxi to get to Papeete so if you want to eat in the hotel make sure to make a table reservation in advance. The breakfast buffet was not much but as it was not included in our stay we preferred a la carte breakfast which was good and affordable. ”
