We were in town mainly to visit nearby Port Isaac (because we loved the Doc Martin series). If you don't mind the steep hill, you can walk from one town to the other in about 15 minutes, and the Port Gaverne hotel was relatively affordable. Room 11 had a fantastic view of the harbour, low beams to watch out for if your tall. Food was excellent and the staff went out of their way to make our stay one to remember
