The establishment is ‘dry’ because of its location in the historic Bo Kaap neighborhood, which is predominantly Muslim, but the hotel allows guests to bring their own drinks for sundowners and dinner in the restaurant. No corkage charged.”

”Hotel reception is on the first floor of the building, which is served by a lift or you can easily walk up a flight of stairs (if you do not have heavy things to carry). First impression of Habitat is that it is modern and clean. My room was on the same floor as the reception and breakfast area. Initially thinking that it would be noisy but it wasn't. ”The property is new and modern and a lovely place to stay long or short term. It is worth noting that there is only street parking or paid undercover parking around the corner. There is construction on the building next door and if your room faces the street it can be quite noisy all hours of the night. We did enjoy our stay overall though as the property and facilities are really modern and stunning and the food is very tasty. There is also a more upmarket restaurant in the building in...
