The room was comfortable and the bed and shower were good. AC was excellent and quiet compared to other places. Beautiful pool and patio area. Some slight amenities issues such as a broken light in the bathroom and slow drainage in the shower.
I would get a junior suite next time. There is no coffee maker or kettle in the standard room and free coffee and hot water in the lobby ends at 10 am. Staff tried to accommodate but it was not the best situation. Also you only get 2 bottles of water when you get housekeeping. Maybe need filtered water canisters.
Location was great. Less than 2 blocks from the beach. The room was quiet at night. You get access to the beach club at Los Arcos which was easy to use. Umbrella, towels and chairs set up for you.
I had access to the buffet for breakfast at Los Arcos. Good service, decent food and lovely location. I would have liked more non-meat choices at the buffet in the hot food area and additional salad choices. The porridge was essentially milk with a bit of porridge bits here and there. The on demand items like omelettes, quesadillas and hotcakes were excellent. Ate dinner there a few times. Very good food. Entertainment each night at the restaurant which was quite good and varied including musicians, dancers and singers. One time there was breakfast entertainment. The guitarist was amazing. Overall a great place. I would stay again. One of the nicer places I stayed at during the two months in Puerto Vallarta.
