The overall experience was awesome. Though this is an older resort, it had everything you need for a relaxing time. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. They went well beyond what we've come to expect with care and attention to details. They served with grace and thoroughness in whatever capacity they were working. A special shout out to Saul who provided the kayaking experience. Also to the servers in the restaurants and at poolside (Carlos, Luis, Edgar, Guadalupe, and more). The evening entertainment was fantastic! Ramon and his colleague (sorry I didn't catch her name) are energizer bunnies who kept the party going all day and into the evening. It was amazing - the choice and the engagement. Alejandro also helped us maneuver some of our transportation options and the rest of the front desk staff and porters were lovely, as well.
The food was delicious - variety all throughout the day. We loved the salads, the paninis, pancakes and omelets, especially (kudos to the staff who manned those kiosks). The location is prime - on the beach, near bus transport and all needed amenities. A short drive to the airport but long enough that we didn't hear any of the traffic from it. A short bus ride to the Malecon and Old Town. I HIGHLY recommend this resort. Thank you to everyone there who made our vacation so special.
