This new tropical bungalow have 2 air-conditioned bedrooms, first one with a king bed and the second one with 3 single beds ( one in a mezzanine) or 1 king bed+1 single, on demand, and full equipped Kitchen+laundry+BBQ+bar, with a marvelous view on the Pacific Ocean and lagoon from a deck with your private swimming pool. Our place is in a quiet private residence, at 10mn from the nicest white sand beach on Tahiti, restaurants, food stores, gas station and 30 mn from the international Airport. We use to welcome our guest at the airport to drive them home and it is free!
You have a private swimming pool on a nice deck with a nice view on the forest.

This was our second time staying here, and it was just as amazing as the first! The hospitality is truly outstanding. Emanuel greeted us at the airport and helped us get our car, which made everything so easy right from the start. Lydia welcomed us when we arrived at the home and made us feel right at home.The house had everything we needed and more—the fridge was thoughtfully stocked with eggs, bacon, fruit, and other essentials, which we really appreciated. The pool was perfect for cooling down, and we spent a lot of time enjoying it. The views are absolutely beautiful and made our stay even more relaxing.Great place, great people—we will definitely be back again!

Amazing villa and views

The Hosts are more than accommodating. We came in a day early and they were wonderful in helping us have a place to rest while the villa was cleaned. The villa is charming and has everything you need. There are Binoculars provided which is amazing as there is so much to see from the deck. The view is incredible. Make sure you see the stars! Make sure to rent a car! Side note- I am not a cold person but found it quite chilly outside on the deck in the morning and evenings. I would pack sweats if you get cold easily. We liked Beach Burger in Papara for an easy meal. We liked the Grocery Store LX Proxi Paea and the pharmacy next door. If you drive into Papeete park at the ferry terminal parking. Parking is kinda scary and we found this easiest. Get a ticket from the machine and park. Then before you leave, there are payment kiosks under the stairs on the outside of the Ferry Terminal to pay. The market is across the street. Take some travel Kleenex and hand sanitizer when you get out and about. Most bathrooms don’t have toilet paper and very few have soap.

Million dollar view

This villa was the most wonderful views of the ocean. It is so quiet you can hear the surf hit the breakers, even though you are way up the mountain. You can see for miles. It is a secluded, quiet place perfect for relaxing on the deck or swimming in the heated pool. Beautiful scenery going up and down the mountain also. Very secure area. Beds were comfy and there were plenty of towels, almost instant hot water, well stocked kitchen, and plenty of dishes. The best thing next to the view and the quiet was the hosts! They met us at the airport and guided us to the villa, even though we didn't arrive until almost 11pm. They went through the villa and explained the AC and the fancy shower controls. They were available to answer questions and offer advise about the villa as well as the island. They provided a welcome package as well as fruit from their yard several times. We have stayed many places around the world and Lydia & Emmanuel are by far the best hosts we have ever had!

The hospitality of Emmanuel and Lydia has really made us feel home! The villa itself is even nicer than in the photos. We stayed 2 nights and 1 full day before heading to Moorea. The stay has set the bar very high for the rest of the trip! We will sure come back!

The BEST!

It was absolutely Fabulous. The accommodation was wonderful with a fully stocked kitchen. Including a homemade cake, fresh fruit, beer/wine, yogurt etc. We do a lot of travelling and have NEVER experienced anything close. In addition, Emmanuel helped with arranging a rental car, picked us up at our ship, took us to the rental agency and led to his residence. Downside, it is too far from our home to visit more often. Thanks Emmanuel and Lydia.

The four seasons doesn’t have anything on this place or theses host.

Our host, Emmanuel and Lydia go out of there way to make you feel at home. Upon arrival they met our plane and guided us directly to their fantastic get away. They also had the refrigerator stocked with necessary essentials for breakfast the following morning. ( we arrived at 9 pm). There was fresh fruit , a home baked cake, bacon , eggs, juice, milk etc. The property is very private, with a fabulous view. If we return to Tahiti we will absolutely stay here again.

We stayed at this amazing villa for our recent Dec 2024 family trip. Everything was beyond expectation…definitely one of the top 3 best lodgings we ever stayed in the past 20 years. The property was private, the view was stunning and the host hospitality was welcoming and personable! Lydia and Emmanuel fully stocked the fridge, offered to pick us up from the airport, prepared drinks/champagne/wine and fruits for us and showed us around their amazing villa. No one wanted to leave the house during our stay. We rather made our own food and fully enjoy the villa than eating out. You will not regret booking this place for your next vacation. Thank you Lydia and Emmanuel for an unforgettable vacation stay!

This Tahitian home is everything you need for a wonderful stay in Tahiti. The hosts go above and beyond to welcome you to their slice of paradise from start to finish. Meeting you at the airport, helping to arrange car rental, escorting you to the property and offering suggestions on where to go and what to see on the island. Owners are awesome / property pics/description correct

Couldn't be happier with our stay. Place has charm, owners have charm, views have charm - everything does! I won't give away some of the surprises except to say the owners are generous with their time and hospitality and made everything suuuuuper easy. One note - the drive up and down is a bit hairy, especially if you're not 100% used to a manual! It's about 10 minutes up a steep winding road. It's manageable, just be prepared.

Amazing!

We had amazing experience staying at this magical bungalow. Emmanuel and Lydia are extremely kind, welcoming and helpful. We have received lei flower garlands the moment we stepped out from the immigration and were whisked from the airport by Emmanuel directly to the property. House is stocked with home made yogurt, jams, drinks, fresh coconut and Lydia even prepared a cake for us ❤️. Bungalow has incredible view of the lagoon around the island of Tahiti and is completely private and secluded. Sunsets are to die for. Hosts remained helpful throughout our stay with tips as where to eat, where to park and what to see. Emanuel even went to Hertz to help with my rental car reservation. We were in French Polynesia for 2 weeks but this was the best part of our trip. I hope to visit them again and remain friends with them. Thank you for everything!!! /Dominik

Tahitian Paradise Retreat

This location is simply fantastic. The hosts were gracious and provided so many perks (from a stocked fridge to fresh baked goods). The accommodation had all the amenities you will need. It is at the top of a steep and long hill so the pool is a nice respite on hotter days. The views are amazing; the property has bananas and coconuts and an outdoor shower. Very quiet. It is a wonderful place to get away from it all. Highly recommend.

From the minute we arrived late evening to the hour we departed 5 days later, our hosts, Lydia an Emmanuel, were amazing. He greeted us at the airport with fresh flowers and helped us with the rental car agent. Then we followed him in the dark to the bungalow. We arrived and met Lydia. The refrigerator was stocked with fresh fruit, juice, milk, wine and a heart-shaped chocolate brownie. WOW. We were so relieved. Both were go genuine and warm and we felt very welcome. They gave us great tips on sights to see on Tahiti, and suggested that we drive onto a ferry and see Moorea which was incredible. The bungalow was so comfortable that we spent some days just relaxing and taking in the view. We cannot recommend this wonderful retreat enough. It was an experience of a lifetime and we WILL be back. Lydia and Emmanuel were the perfect hosts, and the bungalow was perfect as well. Karen and Larry January 20-25, 2024

The Most Perfect Stay!

I cannot say enough good things about Heilani's Cottage and Lydia and Emmanuel. Everything about our stay was wonderful. If I could give twenty stars, I would! The property is beautiful, the view is stunning. The villa is clean, extremely well stocked, and had everything we needed to have a great stay. Lydia and Emmanuel are the best VRBO hosts we have *ever* encountered. They are so kind and friendly and went WELL ABOVE AND BEYOND to help us during our stay. A big part of the reason we enjoyed our vacation so much was due to Lydia and Emmanuel. Honestly, I feel like we have made new friends for life! They are indeed SUPERHOSTS!! The house is exactly as described (it is absolutely fantastic). Everything worked perfectly. The A/C in the bedrooms was wonderful, the internet was fast, the TVs had Netflix, and the pool was refreshing. We are already planning a return trip! If you see this property available, you should jump on it as fast as you can before it disappears. You will not regret booking it! Thank you, Lydia and Emmanuel!!! The Best VRBO Stay Ever

If you have decided to rent in Tahiti and this villa has availability, go reserve it now before somebody else does and come back to read this review later. If you look at the photos of this mountain top villa, you will see the extraordinary setting. The pictures do not lie. It is every bit as stunning as the ad implies. Lydia and Emmanuel are outstanding hosts and do everything and more to ensure your stay is enjoyable. They stock the kitchen both smartly and deliciously with homemade baked goods and grocery items and then, after that they stop by with produce taken right from their garden. We had fresh, pumpkin, coconut, and bananas. The kitchen is fully functional with stove, oven, refrigerator and dishwasher. Dining is on the patio outside. Bedrooms are decorated with Tahitian fabrics and the air-conditioning works great. As an example of the hospitality, I wanted a ukulele lesson while in Papeete. Emmanuel not only identified an excellent teacher, but brought me to the lesson when the teacher could not make it to the house. He picked us up at the airport, and Lydia drove us to the cruise port terminal. we could not have expected anything more from them and as VRBO hosts go they are six out of five stars!
