”It was so good there was nothing to complain about at all. The room was comfortable, the beds lovely, there was everything that you could need. The staff were so accommodating they would get you any thing you ask for. There was always a smile and a little few words always can I get you anything. All the staff were the same just excellent, they were lovely, Parking was really good. We didn’t need air con.
The only thing I did notice, there were some cobwebs, the ceiling were high though and...

”Our room looked out to the cathedral. It was spacious, a great bathroom with shower, and a copper bath in the bedroom. Staff here are outstanding, and Ely itself is compact, picturesque and very interesting indeed.
Fabulous location to explore everywhere on foot, no vehicle required !”

I booked a normal room, but received a room for an impaired person. I was put in room 1.
The shower was a wet floor shower, which was not too bad, but the bed was terrible.
The mattress had collapsed and I ended up sleeping ( actually I didn't sleep) in a dip, ended up with body aches.”

”Very comfortable bed but room far far too hot, window open but directly out side the beer garden so noisy. This would be fine if thoughtful ear plugs were provided. Felt quite exposed opening the window more, but room temperature so high, fan provided was pathetic so did not sleep well at all. I’m sure on a cool day it would be lovely however. Sadly had to leave before breakfast at 8 during weekends - I made a mistake and thought it would be 7.30 still. Lovely place but potential to be fantastic...

”What a lovely place to spend time on you travels!
A lovely property set in a rural location, great facilities and an excellent bar/restaurant. The weather was fabulous that day so spent the evening in the lovely beer garden, but indoor dining rooms/spaces also looked good.
The welcome was warm and efficient (I’d only booked a few hours before turning up) and the staff really made the stay very pleasant/comfortable.
Definitely a place to stay if you’re in the area.”

”The receptionist was very helpful and welcoming when we arrived.
Allocated a room with a four poster bed, as I'm a little claustrophobic we asked to change room at reception, no problem at all. Overlooking the river with balcony we would definitely stay again in this room.
It is a little tired but clean and comfortable.”

”Property was a bit strange from outside has it did not open until 3pm when the bar opened it was closed again early so no food in restaurant available. Once closed the only people in the building were guests no staff.
Although it didn't look great outside the rooms were very nice and well equipped. Overall good stay for one night and plenty of places to eat.”
