”Gigantic property! Very cool old chateau feel with the doors, keys & furniture. Remote location in Tuscany. The check-in was a little challenging, as GPS did not bring us to the correct location, but we eventually figured it out. The owners live next door, so they were available for questions, but that means it is a shared backyard with the owners. The kitchen did not have any paper products, such as paper towels or napkins, nor were there any kitchen towels to dry dishes with. Still a...

”We arrived after dark, tired from long overnight flight. We had no water pressure upstairs and no hot water anywhere. This was corrected the next day. One on-suite toilette would not flush properly and leaked at the grinder motor. A "tech" was called in. He informed us that he could not fix it, they would need to call someone else. When we continued to report the issue to the host, she informed us that the "tech" said it was working OK. The "tech" informed us that it was not but he could not fix...

”We stayed for 24 days and everything was excellent! Caterina began a monthly video conference with us 6 months prior to arriving to answer questions, suggest tour guides, arrange transfers, and facilitate our stay. She arranged a chef on 5 of our nights, 9 breakfasts, and all of the food was exceptional! Our adult children planned for us to renew our wedding vows celebrating 50 years. Caterina arranged for the chef and a wonderful dinner, a duo who provided music, an officiant, and a...

Parhaat hotelliarvostelut kohteessa Reggello

Hotel Horto Convento

8/10 Hyvä

"We booked a room at Horto Convento, and upon arrival, we were offered an “upgrade” to a nearby hotel under the same ownership, Della Calza Spa & Foresteria. We were promised a suite at this spa hotel, so we accepted the offer. When we arrived at Della Calza, we discovered that the “suite” was actually just a large room with two extra beds. The room was clean and new, but it did not feel particularly cozy and, in our opinion, was not a suite. We complained about the room and were moved to a deluxe room. After that, everything was fine. Della Calza Spa & Foresteria is a very beautiful and peaceful place. Our room was clean and had a charming traditional style. Breakfast was also great, and the staff were very pleasant. The only reason we are not giving it five stars is the initial promise of an “upgraded suite,” which caused some issues at the start of our vacation in Florence."
