The popular market town of Reeth is only 3 miles away and offers many amenities including a weekly farmers market, local pubs, shops and tea rooms. Smaller villages and towns nearby include Gunnerside, Keld, Thwaite and Fremington. There are many excellent local pubs, restaurants and country inns which provide the perfect resting place, before, during or after a long walk or cycle. A little further afield but still within easy driving distance, there are many popular attractions to visit for all ages, including Castle Bolton, the Wensleydale Creamery and The Forbidden Corner. With a host of places to visit within a short drive, visit the Georgian town of Richmond, especially popular with families with many places to explore including Richmond Castle and riverside, the Georgian theatre, or the bustling market towns of Hawes or Leyburn.
