”We loved our visit here. John and Yvonne were wonderful. The space was clean, quiet, and truly magical. The views were second to none and the castle and other buildings are truly worth experiencing. We loved learning about the history of this place and we will certainly be back.”

At a minimum, any usage of words by this establishment to describe themselves as "luxury" or "deluxe" (or any other related synonyms used) are inappropriate. ”While the staff was very amiable the bed bugs weren’t. The bug were bold enough for me to able to find them on my body and clothes when the lights were turned on and when I pulled back the sheets I discovered the distinctive markings of their past exploits, blood splattered throughout.”

”Absolutely terrible worst hotel I ever … the room was dirty I had no pillows or blankets checking in. They gave me sheets in a bag to make my bed that were dirty with stains the breakfast was not there the guy said she called out. Old stale food.. bad staff they where no where to be found only one staff member was good as checking in his name was criag he was super friendly.. ”

”As a woman traveling alone I would not recommend this place. Only person on site to help me check in was the attendant who lived on site and smelled of alcohol from a mile away. There’s no way to lock the room from the inside besides the chain lock, and the one in my room was literally broken off the wall. No way control over temp in room either. I ended up finding somewhere else to stay.”

”We stayed at Friends Lake Inn hoping for a relaxing getaway, but this visit was very disappointing. Upon arrival, the hotel was completely empty — no staff at the front desk, no note or key left for us, and no response to calls or texts. After waiting, we had no choice but to find and check ourselves into an unoccupied room. Additionally, none of the usual amenities were available: the restaurant and bar were not operating. The next morning, a staff member admitted they had “forgotten” to leave...
