”Gorgeous looking hotel. Already lovely but excited to see it when their plans to gain a 4th star come to fruition. My only qualms are rather thin walls to the next bathroom (you can hear the next rooms shower power unit) and the ventilation (weather was low 20s but room got full sun and with no air con it was very hot, even with windows fully open). Otherwise, tasteful decor, a really nice restaurant with super food and a beautiful location.”

”A lovely little hotel situated near Peasholm Park. 10 minutes from North Bay and a scenic 35 minute walk or 5 minute bus ride to South Bay (the more lively bay). Staff were excellent and the hotel is spotlessly clean. Food wise, do note that this hotel caters predominantly for the recently retired crowd (a very reasonably priced but very British menu such as kippers for breakfast and syrup sponge pudding with custard for pudding) We were the only people under 65 that I saw during my October...

”Had a nice stay for our anniversary. Good suggestions for local walks. Wine and food was nice. It was a little disappointing that they did not do anything to mark our 10 year wedding anniversary and we had put a note on our booking. Drinks are quite expensive £6.50 for a pint/£10 for prosseco glass”

”High Oaks Grange is a beautiful property with a very high standard of fittings. We had everything we needed for a wonderful stay with old friends. There were plenty of things to do locally and we loved the area. One highlight was a meal cooked for us in the Grange by Chef Dan Graham. We would thoroughly recommend him. as would we would highly recommend The Grange for a large group. We hope to return in the future.”

”The location of the cottage is excellent, right next to the river Esk and on a very quiet holiday park (in April anyway). There is an amazing viaduct over the river where there is bungy jumping every couple of weeks during the summer and you can walk over it into Whitby which is only 30 mins away on foot. The pool is NOT 24 hrs as advertised and you have to pay. The property can be a bit difficult to find because the name plaque of the plot is covered by an overgrown hydrangea. If you use what 3...
