”This was a lovely hotel and we had a great stay. We received a very warm welcome on arrival and also a welcome gift which was very well received. The room was great, a good size, clean and well maintained. The grounds were gorgeous. The Manor House is beautiful. The golf course was good and well maintained. The food was good, we had a nice breakfast and paid for lunch in the bar. The hotel has multiple games including table tennis, table football, pool and arcade games, space invaders,...

”Breakfast needs a re think. 15 mins to get a fried egg is not really acceptable and the choice of items limited. Hot food was not particularly hot.”

”The copper castle was an amazing place to stay, clean, comfortable, staff were amazing, children loved the animals and collecting egg's from the chickens in the morning. Owner's were very helpful and accommodating, will definitely be coming back for another stay.”

”Excellent 2 night stay at the Hare and hounds. Such a lovely well presented pub and very nicely decorated rooms, Our room was named "The Flying Duck" and it was perfect. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and the food was amaizing. Breakfast both mornings was fab and fresh Its an easy 20 minute walk into Newbury but if walkings not your thing its a short drive with lots of pay and display parking in the town centre. On the topic of parking loads of free parking in the carpark...

”Basic hotel. Clean, nice spacious room. Bathroom needs renovation. Taps, sink, toilet etc. Room was nice with wooden walls. Great bed. Restaurant okay. Food and service excellent, atmosphere not so much. Parking was easy. Location is nowhere, so be prepared for that. You get what you pay for.”

”Lovely room with comfortable bed. Very friendly and professional staff. Could do with hot plates for hot breakfast and disappointing coffee but otherwise super breakfast with cold and hot buffet. Book a bed and breakfast room if you will require breakfast. Restaurant food prices expensive. ”

”Great pub, handy located, great service, parking on the street close by very affordable as long as you are away with the car during the day (paid is 0800 till 20:00) so if you come in after 19:00 and leave around 0900 you pay 2 pound for the parking”

”Good for a short stay, very basic pub accomodation. Located practically in the middle of nowhere and there's no possibility to go for a walk or a run in the evening. The pub downstairs is good, with reasonably priced food and drinks. Friendly staff. Stayed at the room 12 which at the time of my stay didnd't have any shower! This is unacceptable even temporarily, such room should not be offered at all.”
