”The room was lovely (room 5) with a very comfy bed, decent enough facilities, but no complimentary biscuits, which is unusual, but understandable in these times.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, rushed off their feet as most places, but knew what they were doing.

”It was great. Staff wonderful, food great communications excellent, only slight detraction was the room was a tiny bit tired and in the cottage across the road with a bit of a sticky window. However in general terms we live the whole experience and I can’t praise the staff enough. They were brilliant ”
”Lovely place, service was authentic and very friendly. Would have helped to have parking instructions beforehand, but they handled it perfectly as well at the location. Breakfast was good and the location was convenient for exploring the Peak district.”

”Lovely nights stay at the Ashford Arms. Comfortable rooms and excellent restaurant serving fabulous food. Nice to have a breakfast menu as opposed to a buffet. Great location in quiet village close to Bakewell. Would stay again if back in Derbyshire.”

”We had a wonderful stay at The View. The room was lovely, very spacious and overlooked the rolling hills, plus it was quiet. The staff were very friendly and attentive and breakfast was delicious and all cooked and prepared to order. We had one evening meal at the pub itself which again, we couldn’t fault. There is so much to do around the area and we will definitely be going back. A true gem of a find!”
