”Exceptional property with great service. They make sure your stay is pleasant and that you are well fed. Location has a beautiful hike right behind that overlooks the valley. ”
”Take yourself back in time to an era we all want to recreate away from this troubling world. I was hoping for a spitfire to zoom overhead at anytime. A beautiful location within the Chatsworth estate in old style properties with plenty of character. Just a few steps away is a lovely local pub The Beeley Inn serving delicious food (the ox cheek is to die for,) agreeably it’s not cheap but you get what you pay for. Ideal for a special treat.”
”This hotel is located in a beautiful old building with a gorgeous garden. The rooms are charming. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast each day and the bar in the evening. Nice wine selection! Its a great locattion for visiting Chatsworth House and the beautful scenery of the Peak Distict.”

”Fantastic, friendly and accommodating staff - food and service. Seriously the best lime and soda :), something so simple and yet… I have an adventurous palate, so was delighted to try a new taste sensation in the Brazilian cheese bread. The Bakewell dessert did not disappoint, was beyond expectation and ample for two spoons!

Owners and staff welcoming and friendly, good food, breakfast & evening, good service. Shepherds huts are clean, warm & cosy.
Within good distance for both Chatsworth House & Bakewell also good walks from the inn.

”The hotel is in a lovely building, retaining original features with the café area displaying some original items such as the cash register from 1882. The room key is also a traditional type which I liked.
The room had a lovely original fireplace and very comfy bed. The pillows were so comfy I checked the label so I could get some for home.
The breakfast was great, all good quality ingredients and well cooked. The scrambled egg was especially delicious!

”Great for Peak District, lively pub with atmospheare...well prepared food at reasonanle prices and nice and quiet after 11 or so.... full breakfast with options. Really enjoyed a one nighr stop and would return whrn next out hiking!”
”It's such a lovely spot and the room was spacious, super clean and with a view out to the lovely surrounding area. The bed was also very comfy and the pillow too, and this from someone who is princess and the pea with her pillows! I also got a really great rate for my one night stay.”
