”We had a wonderful time and some much needed relaxation. I would go for a room with a lakeside view as it is beutiful and to look out on. Just watching the herons and swans, from our room or from the bar was lovely. All the staff were helpful and friendly, especially Gary, the night porter. We will definitely stay again. ”

”Just spent 3 days at the cottage as 4 adults and had a lovely time. We were aware before booking that there was just one bathroom and no spare loo but this was fine and other amenities made up for it. Lots of little touches that had been thought through like the provision of a throw and hooks on the bedroom doors. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment and the dishwasher worked well. "Definately good hotel, maybe not quite living up five star status. Our third hotel stay during the same week, so it is easy to compare with other being four stars. The staff are doing their best, but glitches in new room cards and reception procedures left a sour taste. The place at the shore is nice, alltough part of the view is blocked by harbour warehouses. It is a bit far from the city centre by walking. The bar at the top has a nice view, but is noisy. All in all good experience, but not exceptionel."
