”Great place and this room for solo travel”

”A memorable stay for the best reasons. If any criticism, I feel the bathroom taps in our room were very difficult to turn, as they were narrow and round. Also there were no grab rails on the wall facing the bath, so for an elderly customer, the process of getting out of the bath was somewhat hazardous. We'll come again!”

”All the hotel staff we encountered were friendly and helpful from arrival to departure which made for an enjoyable stay. Our room was a good size with a four poster bed and a nice view to the front of the property. The hotel public areas looked great and were well kept. Food and drink prices in the hotel and grounds a little on the high side.”

”This was a 1-night stay for work. I was in the Castle room. Car park was free but small. Lovely greeting from owner. Room was spacious as was the ensuite which had a roll-top bath, as well as separate shower. TV was okay as was WiFi. Included in the price was a breakfast, which was offered with cereal, bread for toasting, fresh juice, hot drink and cooked breakfast. I had the cooked breakfast. Room had a desk and chair to work at if required. Nice touch of a small fridge in the upper hallway...

”A great option not that far away from London. But not on a hot day. The window cannot be opened beyond two inches and the room temperature was incredibly hot”

”Really great location and easy check in and out but the room was SO hot we couldn’t sleep, there was a fan but it didn’t do much. Our windows also opened into the balcony which didn’t feel very private ”

”We stayed for a couple of nights. The room was incredibly comfortable and quiet, certainly the best night's sleep we've had in local hotels in the area. The dinner menu is a bit limited, although the pizzas were good. They have just added cooked items to the breakfast but have a complicated charging system. Preferable just to add an extra amount to the b & b rate. The local countryside is lovely we had a couple of walks after dinner.”

”The property could use an upgrade- especially the bathrooms. Rooms were very small. The best part of our stay were the front of house staff who were excellent - they went out of their way to be helpful and were very friendly. In the mornings - they seemed to be understaffed - the front desk were required to help with the breakfast. The cleaning staff were new (?) and only made beds and picked up towels - did not clean the bathrooms and missed one day completely.”

”I stayed here for a party and booked a room. The staff are helpful and friendly... the only downside is I couldn't find the remote, so I should have asked! But a lovely stay all in all! X”

”Convenient location, the car park (pay & display) is right behind, friendly staff and a good breakfast with plenty of options. Room was clean & tidy, overall easy to recommend.”
