”We really enjoyed our brief stay.Such charming staff. My only question would be,please keep fresh milk in the room fridge, for tea in the morning. We would like to come back to stay in one of the thank4 bed lodges, overlooking the lake, next time.”

”This was an excellent accidental find!! The place was beautiful, the room was really cosy and comfortable. The owners were really friendly people who obviously work exceptionally hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible! We will definitely be back!!”

”The hotel is nice and clean, the location was perfect as I needed both buses and trains in the area. If I visit Swindon again, I will stay in this hotel. ”

”Very pleasant experience. Clean modern room and helpful staff. Cosy restaurant with good drinks. Breakfast is freshly prepared according to your choise, a bit heavy though. Rooms are located in a separate building near a big road so we heard a little bit of noise from the traffic.”

”The gym was good. The bedroom very large but not inviting, the colours drab very dark. Very cold. No heating untill 4.30 for a few hours. Fortunately we were able to get an extra heater and managed to get air con to blow out warm air. It was obviously just renovated but not by a woman, as no plug sockets near mirror to do hair. The lighting very dull. As the room was so big a sofa would have been nice. Breakfast not very warm, also dining room could do with being warmer. Choice of food not...

”Booked for guests visiting a local business. Always positive feedback.”

”Parking is very convenient and close to the village centre. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room is very small and not what was advertised. It had a skylight but no windows. Towel warmer didn’t work. Breakfast hours were advertised for 9-10:30. When we arrived at 10 they told us breakfast was closed, but when I pointed out their own hours listed on the card, they did make us breakfast.”

”Lovely old coaching inn and nice rooms too. It was lovely sat out in the forecourt having a drink undercover. My evening meal in pub was very nice , bit expensive and limited menu but tasted great. Breakfast was lovely and the Manager who was very friendly and I believe from Australia -and her assistant -were very helpful even allowing me to have it early as I had a show to get too. This was above and beyond and means I will definitely come back, Thank you”

”Great hotel, delicious food and very peaceful and quiet location with excellent parking!”

”Great breakfast Bathroom could do with a lick of paint”

”Friendly and welcoming staff, thoughtful touches and a lovely location with great walks and lots to explore”

”(Lake view room) Excellent hotel in a beautiful area. The rooms have everything you could need, they are clean and are very well maintained. Friendly staff in the hotel and in the surrounding restaurants. Highly recommend the Gateway Cafe for brunch.”

”Food was ok, sometimes a bit cold, a bit of a limited menu Beer was rubbish, went flat quickly Accomodation was faultless”

”Beautiful grounds and garden. Helpful staff. Comfortable room and bed, tasty breakfast. Only complaint, the front entrance is locked a little early for a Saturday evening, took 2 calls to get the entrance opened. But would recommend.”

”Room was ok, outdated but clean otherwise. The bathroom floor tiles and caulking were stained and felt dirty. Shower pressure was amazing, they had dove shampoo, conditioner and soap which was a nice surprise. Breakfast had warm dishes (eggs, bacon, hash brown, beans), coffee, juices, cereals and muffins, croissants and pancakes. I wouldn't stay here longer since the amenities were quite poor but for one night stay (passing through Swindon) this was totally fine and staff that we encountered...

”The hotel is ok but starting to look tired and in need of some TLC. Breakfast was disappointing for the price but overall an ok stay.”
