Overall this house was exactly what my family needed. There is an AC unit per room which really helps when you have a multi generation family where we had folks who ran very hot and ones who run very cold. It also had enough rooms and bathrooms and space for us to spread out. You can tell the owner had chosen quality furnishings and decor. The only issues we had were the stairs which for my father who is 88 was a bit challenging so be sure to keep that in mind and the noise although the rooms on the 1st and 2nd levels had less of that issue. Between the train, the planes and the racers it was similar to living in a city but again the house is well insulated and the curtains helped. There was more than enough plates and utensils for a house that size as well as towels for the whole family. We really enjoyed the house and our stay in San Diego!

Great for big groups!

Perfect spot and size house for a big group! Loved the location, pool and view from the deck. Traffic is loud from the roofdeck, but can't really be heard indoors. A few small things that would have made our stay a bit more "homey" would have been some type of storage/dresser (especially in the bunk room where there was no closet) and towel hooks in the bathroom/bedrooms. With a large group we didn't have anywhere to hang bathroom towels to dry. Great house and stay!

4th of July staycation

We stayed local and rented this house to have the whole family together and to be able to see the fireworks. The view of the fireworks was absolutely spectacular. The viewing deck could have held 30 people so it felt like a real treat to have it to ourselves. The house itself was reminiscent of an exquisite Italian villa with plenty of room to spread out.What makes the house have that great view (being very tall) also meant that it has dozens of stairs- something I hadn’t considered for our elderly guests. To enter the property is a fairly steep climb and then the house has many levels with more stairs. I had a nice built in workout as I brought in groceries and belongings.There were some things that didn’t work well like the garbage disposal (not at all), couldn’t ever figure out the living room TV, and one of the room air conditioners barely worked while another the set up would have required more effort than we were willing to give. While the owner was incredibly responsive, it did make us think that we would likely go back to a hotels in the future. Nothing about this specific house but in general we commented how the rental houses always have things that don’t work and you have no front desk to call down to.We had a great stay and appreciated the opportunity to rent this gorgeous house with the unbeatable view for the week.

Upstairs shower issue

the upstairs shower was so hot that we could not turn it on very much or it would be too hot to shower. So we only got a drizzle from that shower. Overall experience was nice, the pool was good, Kids had fun in it. Would have been nice to have more viewing channels on the TV and the main room remote enter key was worn out. Thanks for the opportunity to stay there.

This house has everything

We had guests of all ages and this was the perfect house to accommodate everyone’s needs. There are plenty of spacious bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms so everyone has their private space. The pool and hot tub offered hours of fun and a great gathering place. The kitchen is very well stocked so easy to feed a big family. Views are great. It 5 minutes from the airport. It can be loud with the highway and airport so close but no one complained in our group….bring sound machines. There is no way to enter the house without climbing stairs so be prepared. Ali was responsive to any questions. Definitely recommend this property! And check out Old Town just a couple blocks down the road….hidden treasure!

Fantastic Stay for a Special Occasion!We stayed at this beautiful San Diego property to celebrate our son’s graduation from USD, and it exceeded all expectations! The location was perfect—so close to the university and the airport, which made getting around and picking up family a breeze.The house itself was stunning and incredibly spacious, both inside and out. Multiple decks gave us plenty of space to spread out and relax. Our favorite was the large deck between the two master suites—morning coffee out there became a ritual. The rooftop deck was massive with incredible views of downtown and beyond. There were also two more decks, one off the dining area and one in front of the house.The pool and hot tub were a hit with everyone! Everything we needed was provided—from floaties to pool towels and even heating lamps (though the weather was perfect, so we didn’t need them). The kitchen was fully stocked, and every bedroom had access to its own bathroom—either private or shared between two rooms.The garage and additional street parking were super convenient, and the location felt safe and peaceful with a secure gated entrance. We loved being able to walk to Old Town and a cute coffee shop just down the street each morning.Check-in and checkout were seamless, with clear instructions provided. I highly recommend this home to families or groups looking for a comfortable, luxurious place to stay in the heart of San Diego. It truly felt like a private oasis.

Family Trip

The property was great for the amount of people we had. Everyone had their own space and enough space to relax. It was great for the 3 kids under 4 that we traveled with, there was space for their toys, the high chair and pack and play, and crib that was provided was very helpful. Ali was accommodating with the various requests we asked for, early check in, bringing a dog and then choosing not to bring the dog. There was only one issue with communication regarding heating the pool, but it got figured out in the end. We knew there would be a lot of stairs, but if you are staying here, there is A LOT of stairs, so be prepared! The space that they had is maximized. Some of the parts of the house were a bit old (some flooring that was squeaky, knobs that didn't stay on cupboards, etc.) but the house was exactly what we needed for our trip. The main tv was very slow, and we had a lot of issues with the internet staying connected, but the location, amount of space, and the pool made up for it.

Family vacation

House was in central location for excursion elsewhere. Parking was tuff when school was letting out and for when they had an event going. Lotsa stairs in the home so you if you have knee issues would not recommend. Was disappointed with the pool and hot tub - had some issue that could not be fixed during our stay. Roof top view was beautiful . Had sink issues and Ali had the people there to fix it same day. He was very accomodating with items that needed attention .

Overall, the stay was really good. The place is a little outdated and had some damage/items that were not in working order, but overall the amenities were good. There was really good food that was close as well. The host was incredibly accommodating and very communicative during the process.

Not what I expected, might be past its prime

This property had great reviews so I was really surprised we had so many issues. It seems like it is past its prime. Things are really starting the fall apart. It rained one day and water flooded into a room. The pool was filled with green algae and not cleaned. The kitchen sink connection broke away from the faucet 3 times spraying water everywhere. The garage sensors went out. So I couldn’t close the garage. And a giant mirror completely fell off the wall the morning after it rained. It was a lot and in all honesty really took away from the trip. The property manager was quick to send someone when I first reached out about the water leak and the mirror. Which I appreciated. And I would have been totally content if that was the extent of the problems. But things just kept happening which was a bummer. Without the issues the property is in a great, quiet and safe location. It is huge with a ton of room for all guests.

Great temporary home for our extended family!

Grandma, two daughters, their husbands and six kids enjoyed a wonderful stay for a week. The property is very spacious and everybody enjoyed their own favourite places. One granddaughter drew many pictures up on the roof, all enjoyed the pool and the adults enjoyed the hot tub! The kitchen was well equipped. Comfortably furnished. Great home for a large group!

Great place

Overall the place is amazing. Good layout. Pool is great. Nothing can beat that rooftop with the views and space. My only suggestion is to get rid of the massive nightstands in the two rooms that have queen beds and get small skinny ones and King size beds. Would be much better for most guests that way.

Large Family Group

We were looking for a place to stay for my son's bootcamp graduation that could accommodate at least 10 adults. This rental was perfect. Plenty of sleeping space and 4 full bathrooms! Great spaces to hang out and visit. I would highly recommend it for large group gatherings.

Great house

We had a LARGE group for my son’s graduation from bootcamp. The house fit us all. We had people in and out all day Friday and we never felt cramped. Location is so close to base. We will definitely be back! Thank you.

Great views, big house

Spacious house with lots of free street parking out front. More than enough room for the nine people who stayed there. Could've been a bit cleaner upon arrival but the host was very accommodating and offered to send a cleaning crew. The hot tub and pool were great, and the rooms had comfortable bedding. View from the rooftop can't be beat! Would stay there again.

Family gathering

Tuscan villa was a perfect fit for my husband’s 50th birthday gathering of twelve adults. We especially enjoyed the pool, spa, roof top deck and amazing kitchen! All the beds were comfortable and we had enough rooms and beds for multiple family members. Nothing negative that I can think of, thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home!

Great place with a couple inconveniences

The place was very nice, it was easy to get to and not far from downtown. Getting into the property was easy with the codes and made it feel secure. The house had plenty of towels and was overall very spacious. The one main issue we had was the wifi was pretty much unusable, even after restarting the router, it wouldn't reach the upstairs and even in the living room right next to where the router was, you could barely get anything. Also, we did use the grill which was very nice but the grill brush had maybe 3 bristles left on it so it definitely needed to be replaced. The area the house is in can be a bit noisy at times, especially at night since you can hear the highway traffic and the occasional train so some people in our group had trouble sleeping. The pool and hot tub were nice but every time we wanted to use the hot tub, we'd have to wait 30 minutes for it to get up to temp. The first room at the top of the upstairs had no hot water in the bathroom and the light outside the shower didn't work; some of the towels were also dirty and the room/bathroom didn't seem like it had been cleaned well according to the person that stayed in that room. We also had a random daily occurrence where the alarm would indicate that the middle floor bedroom window was opened even though nobody was in there so I think that sensor may be going out. Overall, I think it was a good place to stay but could be made better with a few minor changes.
