The cottage is as cute as the picture - inside and out. It is good for 2 people, but could feel a bit crowded with more than that. The bathroom was a bit tight and I prefer to have more water pressure in the shower. We did not cook while we were there, but it seemed like the cottage was equipped with adequate kitchenware. There were plenty of towels (including beach towels) which was appreciated. Robin even had sunscreen available (even though it was a little too cool for us to hang on the beach without sweatshirts and pants.) The location was wonderful - a block to the bayside and a short walk to the beautiful beach. We rode the bikes that were at the house along the bay and the beach side, which was wonderful. We ate at The Mission (right around the corner) for breakfast several days and also found other places along the boardwalk for breakfasts. We were a short drive to La Jolla, as well as Pacific Beach, with good restaurants. The location is also about a 15-20 minute drive to every place we went in North Park, Old Town, University Heights, Normal Heights, Balboa Park and Ocean Beach. The outdoor deck is a nice space to hang out. The area feels safe and friendly. We even used the laundromat, just a few steps away. Robin was super communicative and great to work with!
