First issue was terrible parking because hotel shares a lot with with parking company and they have spaces for anyone, not just hotel guests. Lot was super full and we luckily found a space but hubby had to squeeze out and hope for no scratches on car. They did "comp" $50 a night parking. At check in we were told our reserved room with 2 beds with bayview was not available. They gave us a single king size room. Would have been fine if we didnt have the kids. They sent a twin size cot. One kid fit on the cot, one slept on the dusty floor then with me (moved and kicked all night). So, I did not sleep well at all in out almost $900 for two night stay. Since it was the 4th, I had to take it as there were limited to no rooms in the area. Furniture was dusty, outdated. Floor looked dirty and behind the curtains was terribly dusty. It was pretty gross. Glad that the restroom was super clean. Also hotel pictures balconies but evidently not all are accessible so make sure you confirm that with the hotel. We were bummed ours did not open. Fireworks would have looked amazing which is why I chose this hotel. I feel like it was wasted money since I paid for a balcony I could not use. Very misleading. Pool was clean and afternoon hours the pool is shaded, bonus. The hotel is probably one of the most affordable in one of San Diegos most picturesque areas. Its also filled w/plenty of things to do for walkers & close enough for a quick uber. We walked 30 min to Petco. -from avid staycationer
