Sunny Bernal Heights Casita with Private Entrance

This Bernal Heights casita is a completely remodeled and updated early 20th Century carriage house. A 200+ sq ft, 2-room studio with its own private bathroom, kitchen, and entrance from the street. Situated on the sunny, quiet north slope of Bernal Heights, we are walking distance from Precita Park, Cortland Street, Mission District, SF General Hospital, and the top of Bernal Hill which boasts some of the best views of San Francisco. Steps away from Downtown/Financial District bus line.

This is the perfect San Francisco getaway! You will feel like you are living in the country while in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the City.

2 room guest suite/studio with plenty of natural light and a queen sized bed. Fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops. Hardwood floors throughout. Wall heater and portable heater available. Updated bathroom with shower stall and new ventilation system. TV and internet access available.

Street-level private entrance. Plenty of street parking during the day, however not many spots are available after 7pm.

There are no laundry facilities for you to use on site, however we do offer to wash the bedding and towels you use on a weekly basis. To launder your personal clothing items, there is a laundromat 5 blocks away.

Private access to 2 room guest suite/studio. Outdoor patio between casita and main house is there for your enjoyment. Also, feel free to enjoy the side garden on the side of main house.

We live in the main house and are always happy to answer questions and offer recommendations.

The North Slope of Bernal Heights is the closest thing to country-living in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the big City. Quiet, peaceful, friendly, sunny, and also boasting some of the best views of San Francisco. Peralta Park is steps away from the casita, and it offers you a chance to take a break, sit in cement blocks, and marvel at the expansive San Francisco skyline. Take a hike further up the hill using the staircase walk and reach the top of Bernal Hill....here the 360 degree views of the San Francisco Peninsula are unmatched! Don’t miss the tree swing at the top of the hill. Restaurants are all around you...the closest are Precita Park Cafe, Los Yaquis, Charlie’s Cafe, and Doma. Take a 10-15 minute walk down the hill to partake in all the restaurant options available in the Mission. Take a 20-30 minute walk over to the south side of Bernal Hill and explore the cute shops and restaurants of Cortland Street. A neighborhood convenience store is about 2 blocks away from the casita.

Most of our guests use ride sharing companies, such as Uber and Lyft, to get around town. If you have a car, there is plenty of street parking in our neighborhood during the day, but please be warned that it can be difficult to find parking after 7pm. Once you are parked legally, your car is safe from tickets as we have no permitted parking or street cleaning in our neighborhood. There are bus lines around the casita, however the one that is most often used is the 27-Bryant as that takes you downtown to Union Square, the Financial District, and the Moscone Convention Center. The closest BART station is an easy 20 minute walk away.

Upon your arrival, you will find free bottles of water in the fridge and a bowl of seasonal fruit...enjoy!

We are very flexible on the check-in time. It does not matter if your flight gets in late at night or if you want to arrive early in the morning. We will communicate with you in the days prior to your arrival and we make our best effort to be at home during your desired arrival time. Checking out is just as flexible....just slip the keys to the casita through the mail slot of our front door when you are ready to leave.
