Matkat – Sant'Andrea

Clean and quiet room close to every sightseeing place. Air conditioning was essential in the heat. Breakfast was nice way to start a day.

Aircon worked just enough when on turbo mode. Location was superb. Cleaniness was ok. Somekind of ant infestasion was going on in our bathroom and somehow on the top floor where the breakfast is served. Views on the breakfast are super! You can see the duomo while waiting coffee from the machine!

Hotel Tolomei was truly worth all its 5 stars! Our room was stunning and spotless, the breakfast was abundant, and the restaurant served excellent food. The entire staff was absolutely wonderful. Our wedding anniversary was made extra special with champagne and a cake prepared just for us. We stayed for six days, surrounded by breathtaking scenery with vineyards and olive trees all around. We even saw deer and pheasants nearby. The resort is located on a hill about 4 km from the town center — good walking shoes are recommended if you plan to go by foot. Our experience was a perfect 5/5, and we will definitely return!

We (me, my husband and our 15 year old son) had a wonderful stay at Villa Olmi in July. The place itself is really beautiful with little details. The gardens and pool area are very well maintained and clean. We had junior suite with own garden. The room was spacious and even the sofa bed for our son was very comfortable. Breakfast was versatile and delicious, especially the coffee was good; strong and hot. In the area, where Villa Olmi is located, there is really nothing. Luckily only short car ride to Florence central and hotel had shuttle bus service, which was convenient. Everyone at the hotel staff were really friendly and professional. One small thing only made me feel uncomfortable; at the check out there was added optional service charge to our bill. The receptionist clearly pointed that it was optional. This practice however seemed a bit strange. Anyway, we had absolutely great stay and would definitely come back to this beautiful hotel!

Superb hotel! A charming oasis in a bustling city. Highlights: pool, sauna, breakfast. The historic centre is about 20 minutes bus ride away, but it’s worth it! Buses run regularly.
