Matkat – Santa Severa

The friendliness and service were top at this hotel. Our room for 4 people was wonderful, stylish and it was wonderfully quiet to sleep there. The location in the heart of Rome was great. It was easy to walk in every direction (30 minutes to each attraction). The room was not completely spotless, but the overall appearance was very clean. It was a plus that we could open the window so we could ventilate the room of the humidity that the heating did not remove. The hotel had its own "water bar" where you could fill your drink bottles (or the glass bottles provided by the hotel) and if you wanted, take some ice. The extra bed on the sofa was not comfortable. We would have liked a mattress pad or blanket for the hard and slippery leather sofa, (there was just a sheet).

Aivan huippu hotelli erinomaisella sijainnilla. Hotellilta on lyhyt kävelymatka esim. Fontana di Treville ja Espanjalaisille portaille.Henkilökunta hotellissa oli todella ystävällistä ja avuliasta. Huone oli tyylikäs, viihtyisä ja erittäin siisti. Hotellin kattoterassilta on upeat näkymät yli Rooman. Aamiainen oli erinomainen. Söimme hotellin ravintolassa lammasta, joka oli todella hyvää. Palvelu ravintolassa oli ensiluokkaista.

They never answered when we asked about airport transport though it was promised. The ”spa” aka sauna and a hot tub cost a lot? Unheard of and ridiculous. But absolutely worst part is the noise. Don’t let them put you to the low floors on the street side - the noise is unbelievable. We went to sleep in the toilet! i am not joking: we actually dragged the mattress to the toilet at the dead of night because even with professional earplugs, it was impossible for anyone to sleep. We asked to change rooms but they ”didn’t have any available” until the next day. We are sure they lied. They couldn’t even order us a taxi to take us to the airport, even when we requested it the night before and there is no transport by the hotel though they claim they do. It’s just very expensive, and nothing given in return - all is ugly, tiny and even wifi doesn’t work all the time. Please believe the bad reviews - it really is that bad. We’ve travelled very much and this is by far the worst experience of all time given we didn’t sleep at all one night and we still paid like a lot per night. You should be ashamed of yourself.
