One night with family
A nice place allthougt the scenery from the seahouses and the neighborhood was a little bit dissepointing. The seahouse apartments are spacious and quite new. There is a kitchen with full equipement and a washing machine in the bathroom was a nice surprise. Kids liked the balcony. Also the self check in worked well. Thank you!

Do not sleep in the 2nd floor, ice view and locati
The main building (white building in the picture) of the premises is really looking good and the location is fairly good and the view is quite nice in some of the rooms. But the building is old and it is even told in the downstairs that the sounds may penetrate through the walls and ceilings easily and that is true. Sleeping in the second floor is a horror, all the step sounds form the 3rd floor and the stairs and corridors can be heard really easy. Even when somebody is speaking can be heard. And I have to emphasize that these other guests were not noisy or anyhting like that, the building is just built and renovated so that this is a fact. We were staying in the appartment and it was otherwise really beautiful and nice and the view was great. But 2 nights with lot of disturbances make one feel rather tired. I would recommended staying in the sea houses (the 4 buildings in the picture)

Herttainen mummonmökkimäinen huone. Siisti. Vesipistettä kaipasimme huoneessa, yhteiskylpyhuone haastava, mutta koska tiesimme sen etukäteen, ei ongelmia ollut. Hyvin jyrkät portaat huoneisiin, varovaisuutta tarvitaan.

Lovely view but in need of a refresh.
The view is amazing with good outside space (not for small children due to waters edge). Very close to supermarket so convenient for self catering. Shower very powerful and referbished shower area nice. Quality of furniture and beds very old. Bedding very good. Kitchen equipment not clean and no wood for the fire as in description (we were told it was due to referbishment of the old house) you can buy wood at the supermarket which we did.. crockery and cutlery selection of mismatched items but enough. There is a washing machine which description did not mention so a bonus. Good WiFi. Overall ok but in need of a refresh for the price.

Too light
Place badly needs new curtains. In my three week trip in Norway this place had the lightest room at night easily. Curtains are white which fills the room with light closer to summer solstice. It’s an older house so I wasn’t expecting things to be perfect but that should be a super easy thing to upgrade/replace

Automatic check-in was easy but not that personal. Would be nice to meet the host of the house. The place is otherwise charming and modern but the bathroom is really old-fashioned and the shower floods every time you use it. The terrace by the sea is great but unfortunately the view is not that beautiful to every direction

Flott sjøhus med brygge. Stor plass og seks sengeplasser fordelt på to soverom og hems. Komfyr, mikro, oppvaskmaskin, vaskemaskin og tørketrommel. Enkel inn-og utsjekk. Matbutikker mm i umiddelbar nærhet. Ingen utskifting av håndkler under vårt tre netter lange opphold. Ikke mulig å få det mørkt på soverommet, ikke nattbord og veldig myk seng. Litt dårlig renhold. Det lå bl.a støv på tørketrommelen og smuler på spisebordet. Kan med fordel forbedres. Ellers hadde vi et supert opphold og kommer gjerne tilbake.

Great place for a family stay
THis is the fifth time I stay in these sea cabins at Finsnes Gård. Fantastic place where you have your very own quay (KAI in Norwegian), yet only two minutes walk from the largest supermarket in town. I will absolutely return next time I am in the region.

Meget charmerende bygning, men ville godt have vidst at der kunne forekomme så meget støj fra etagen ovenover. Udover at det var nogen som slet ikke tog hensyn og det lød som om de gik rundt med skistøvler på, valgte de også at gå i byen sent om aftenen og kom hjem “ i hold” mellem 01:00-03:30. Så nattesøvnen var totalt spoleret.

I'm planning on writing a letter to the Orbitz/Expedia management about this stay. The property owners were very sweet and nice. However, the experience was mediocre. Take a look at the pic to the left. All you see are the beautiful cottages. When you read about the property description it doesn't speak about the 200 year house BEHIND the cottages. Therefore, its a bait and switch. I arrived and found this 200 year old home had three levels and my parents are in their 80's and we're on the 3rd floor with no elevator (obviously) and steep, windy steps that no one over 80 should be climbing. This is what should be described to prospective clients. Again, the property managment/owners were very nice and they changed my accommodation. I do hope Finsnes Gaard and Orbitz updates the description and pics to make it accurate as I would never have booked this had i known i was staying on the 3rd floor of an old 200 year old house. Thank you
