”Its a little bit of a hike going to the inn so be aware not to bring big luggages. I did read the previous review and had only my overnight bag and that helps a lot. The inn itself is pretty clean, the staff were accomodating and I was able to book the private onsen. Its a nice place to relax after a long day of walking around hakone”

”The hotel is close to the Koen-Shimo Cable Car station so it is easy to reach. The staff was super friendly and helpful even though we don't speak Japanese and some of them didn't speak English. Big rooms and all the free drinks, snacks and pyjamas were a big plus! Room was super warm (maybe even too warm when we arrived) but you can manage the heater yourself. Dinner and the Japanese style breakfast were delicious. Great first ryokan experience for us! ”

”Our favorite stop by far. The kids adored the place and the owners, it’s like staying with loving grandparents. A very traditional, authentic Japanese household with natural hot springs, and traditional bath robes provided. ”Wonderful hotel tucked away with gorgeous views! Close walk to bus stop and the train, you’ll just have to prepare to walk uphill a lot lol the onsen is amazing, we used the outdoor one every night. There aren’t many people so both hubby and I had the onsen to ourselves each time! It’s such a peaceful place, it’s where we ended our Japan trip. Just know that restaurants and shops close early (like 5-7pm!) and the busses also stop around 10 so eat early. We got the executive suite, so so worth it...
