Footpath near Wooda Farm Sheepwash Footpath 3 curves past an intermittent line of trees alons a tiny watercourse.
Fields at Upcott Avenel The view from the lane between Down Cross and Swardicott Cross as it passes the driveway to Upcott Avenel. A stream rises in the field on the right, following the little valley until it reaches the trees, where it disappears underground. Highampton church is beyond, on the left, while the high land of Broadbury is further away in the centre of the photo.
Lane past Newcourt Wood Fleeting sunlight dapples the lane from Sheepwash to Magpie, but hasn't yet reached the bridge over Newcourt Water at the foot of the short hill.

Very friendly staff, hot tub wasn’t up to temp on our arrival but staff were very apologetic and we were not charged for it that evening. The Lodge was very clean, good quality bedding and toiletries.

A wonderfully happy weekend! Plenty of hot water for aching limbs after long walks, so much space in the house, we nearly needed a map, and a well equipped kitchen with one of the best and biggest kitchen tables I have seen. Thank you Chris!
