”This is a lovely old cottage with a modern kitchen and bathroom extension. It had everything you need in a cottage, was clean and warm. The garden would be a lovely spot to sit in warm weather. I would recommend it.”

The room and bathroom were immaculate, our host was most friendly and the breakfast homemade with local produce. We had a brilliant time. Both the homemade yogurt pots with homegrown berries and fry up were delightful.

Plenty of parking. Key code entry gives more flexibility as to arrival times, which suited us as we were spending the day and having dinner with friends so didn’t arrive till late.

”What an absolute treat The Red Lion is. I went of pervious reviews and it didn’t disappoint. In fact it exceeded my expectations, what a gem of a place. The Staff were simple amazing, David and Jasmine were fantastic and always on hand of we needed anything. The rooms are so comfortable and modern, the Breakfast was fabulous and the food in the pub was outstanding. My only problem is that I won't have the homemade biscuits that were in the room, tonight with my cuppa tea when i am at home.”

Zero regrets (other than forgetting to register for the parking permit ahead of actually entering the public parking...

”A lovely one night stay. The pub is in a quiet village location, close to lots of interesting places in beautiful Dorset countryside. Our room was large, with an equally large bathroom. We ate in the pub in the evening. The menu choice was good, prices reasonable and the food was excellent. We had our breakfast served outside in the garden and, again, this was tasty, hot and really enjoyable. Thoroughly recommended.”
