”A fab stay at the hare and hounds. What a fabulous friendly pub with great helpful staff. Food was fantastic. Our room was spacious, clean and had beautiful views. We will definitely be back and couldn't recommend more to anyone wanting a base to stay for great walks and villages surrounding.”

”Very Scottish decor’ for some reason.
Staff were over worked and doing multiple jobs as best as they could and as quickly as they good. Tending bar, taking orders, waiting on tables - just one person! They really struggled at breakfast with a coach party all coming down to eat at the same time and only two waitresses and one chef to handle everything. I could see how frustrated the staff and the customers were getting with the whole situation. The room was clean and tidy with good tea and...
”Only stayed one night. Lovely quiet setting. The whole place has character. Staff were great and friendly, very accommodating. Beautiful views from the restaurant and bar of the gardens. Room was nice, tidy and clean although a little warm for my liking. Will be back for another stay soon! ”
”I put in the postcode but car sat nav directed me as far as the local pub only! After turning down a wrong lane past the pub in the pitch dark (9pm on an October evening) ascending up at a dead end I rang the owner who instructed me to carry on past the pub for another 2 miles!
