”Room was lovely! Stayed the night with my young son after diggerland 🚜 (only an hour away) Staff were great, room was clean, food was fab, bed was super comfortable! Easy to park, relaxing atmosphere, felt safe! Would 100% recommend 👏 ⭐ ”

”Dianne went out of her way to be helpful at all steps of our stay. Great parking facilities, great shower, comfy bed. Everything needed was provided and well thought through. We were able to arrange to collect the keys early as we were due at a wedding and Dianne went out of her way to help us arrange a taxi booking to and from the venue nearby. Breakfast was varied and plentiful.”

”I needed an overnight stay en route to scotland . Cartref was easy to get to from M6 and felt clean and cosy. Traffic was a little noisy ( I had to open window due to heatwave) but the host thoughtfully supplied earplugs as well as various other "extras " for myself and the dog. Shared bathroom was clean and easily accessible. I would recommend Cartref if visiting Carlisle or just passing through and i would certainly consider staying here again if in the area.”

I’ve stayed at Ibis hotels before and have always had good experiences, so I arrived with fairly high expectations. Unfortunately, the Ibis Carlisle did not meet those expectations at all. ”This was exactly what we were hoping for in this stay. The rooms were lovely and clean and the bathrooms were modern and fully stocked. The inn itself was charming, the staff so accommodating and the food (both dinner and breakfast) were delicious. ”

”The elevator was broken. The first room I was given smelled like urine and the windows were painted shut, so there was no air. My second room was much better, but the shower stopped running midway through. I had to use the hot and cold faucets in the tub to rinse off. The staff was pleasant.”

”I stayed for one night and appreciated having an affordable place close to the station, with plenty of shops nearby. I was also happy to find a kettle with coffee and tea, which made for a fresh and pleasant morning. The only downside was that there was no hand soap or shampoo provided, which would have made the stay more comfortable. Overall, I’m satisfied with what I received for the price and happy with my stay”
