”We chose this cottage due to its location in Appledore and that it's dog friendly. We stayed in Apple Tree cottage. It was a lovely surprise to see what lay behind the No 5 door. The cottage was clean and cosy. Tastefully decorated. It was well equipped with what you need for a comfortable stay. Free WiFi. TV with Net Flix etc.Nice bathroom with bath and shower. It is close to all the amenities Appledore has to offer. It is an ideal base to discover North Devon, which is beautiful. The garden...

”Enjoyable stay at what is perhaps best described as a fantastic restaurant with rooms. The restaurant overlooks the water and both dinner and breakfast were excellent. However our room was landside, with only a view of Irsha Street. Although small, the room and facilities were excellent. Fresh milk in the fridge is always much appreciated by us tea drinkers.”

”Comfortable and clean . Friendly staff especially Becky and Liv.Evening meal superb ,apparently chef Dave on duty when we stayed. It would have been better if staff knew what soup of the day was before taking orders ,a small detail but probably more professional. About 9 stairs up to the room ,staff did offer to help with suitcases .Car park is up a small hill but there is a drop off area to unload your suitcases to avoid having to walk down with them. Would return if only for the food.”

”Very friendly. I was assisted up the stairs with a suitcase. One problem was that I couldn't drop the suitcase at the front door of the hotel as there was no entry signs at each end of the road so I had to trundle my case from the car park. I may have booked a nearer car park had I known.”

”Checked okay parking was close, the lift was out of order so walked to room not really a problem, but staff member sent me me on a 10min walk around the hotel with their instructions on how to get to the room, I later discovered a much quicker way using an alternative staircase, room was clean and well maintained. WiFi not the best but definitely useable. I cannot comment on food as I didn't eat in the hotel but there are some nice restaurants nearby.”

”Lovely little apartment.. very clean and tidy. Bed was very comfortable! Hot tub was lovely and we sat in it and watched the sunset over the sea. Complex is quite run down but work is ongoing to improve the facilities. A manual for the hot tub would have been useful having never used one before.”

”Welcome was great with a cup of tea. Very friendly. Beautiful quiet, rural farm setting. Pet friendly. Totally suited our needs with easy access to Barnstaple, Instow, RHS Rosemoor.”
