”Absolutely fabulous few days away. This is a real gem of a hotel. Quiet and secluded but a real joy to experience. The staff are so helpful and genuine (Rosie, Sharon and Oliver deserve medals) There was plenty of choice for breakfast, the cooked breakfast was tasty and well presented. The evening dinner menu and quality of food was 10/10. I think it could be even better with a slightly extended menu. We will be back x”

”Absolutely loved our weekend at the Dower House! Amazing location surrounded by nature, the building is so beautiful and our room was huge and had every comfort. All the things you don't find in chain hotels are here - four poster bed, comfy sofa, coffee table and chairs sat amongst a wonderful backdrop, dark and quiet at night for a great sleep. And not to forget the amazing and genuine owners, Tim and Rosemarie, and Teresa who served a great breakfast ”

”Unfortunately the hotel had some problems in the kitchen which impacted very badly on the menu for dinner, the breakfast, service (so slow) and noise. It would have been better to fix the problems before reopening or to have had the courtesy to let us know in advance what the situation was. I would have stayed somewhere else. Extremely disappointing as I’ve had lovely stays here in the past. ”

”The dolphin hotel - great value for money and excellent location with a 2 minute walk to the beach ! I came here with my partner and 2 dogs and we had a wonderful time the bar and restaurant has been refurbished and has a great atmosphere I was initially worried about he negative reviews but we found out it is now under new management, the staff were amazing and very welcoming and couldn't do more for you the rooms were basic but clean great selection of teas coffees biscuits ect replenished...

”We stayed two weekends, 23rd and 30th The staff were very good at their job. When we were staying above incredibly volatile and inebriated guests on the first weekend, it was dealt with quickly. Unfortunately the next night another guest set off the fire alarm at 1am. The second weekend was faultless- thoughtful guests same excellent staff Clientelle interesting, staff incredibly professional and kind. Under refurb, so slightly odd vibe, the price was very good because of it. Close to...

”We had an excellent stay at this B&B and would definitely recommend it and go back. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The room was clean and a really good size. The shower was small but it had to be to fit it in! (Room 5) The shower was very hit and miss temperature wise but we told Linda(? - the owner) when we left and she was going to get it sorted. Make sure when you park that you drive in forward and reverse out. The parking is tight, but...

”Only stayed one night, to break up our journey. Easy booking via Expedia, easy to find with ample parking. Lovely friendly welcome at reception by Lil. We had a nice, spacious, spotlessly clean room with A Patio ! We couldn't resist the Sunday carvery which was very nice, as was the breakfast the next morning. So with a lovely location, nice friendly staff giving great service, what is not to like. Thanks to all of your hardworking staff & looking forward to visiting again soon. M&S”
