”Was a lovely little room. Clean and cozy. Down points are that room was too hot with no means to cool it down and no spoons or stirrers to make the drinks. Would deffo recommend but if your like me and get hot too quick then ask for a room with aircon.”

”Another restful stay at this lovely hotel. It’s always spotlessly clean and well maintained. The rooms are modern and well appointed. The bar /restaurant is excellent. We normally stay weekdays and it’s pretty quiet but it’s a near perfect wedding/party venue so I would imagine it’s pretty busy and maybe not so restful at the weekends. It’s situated near but not in the Peak District in lovely surroundings. Hopefully we’ll be back again sometime.”

”OK stay. Rooms are a bit dated. Don’t know about suites etc. but if you are searching something more luxurious, this might not to be your selection. Location is excellent. For Crucible visitors this might be the place to stay. It was a pity that ”spa” was only a half of a spa, because only swimming pool was in use. Got the information about that when there was no option to cancel the reservation. The hotel did not compencate for this in any way.”

”Absolutely beautiful pub. We stayed overnight in a lovely room very comfortable and tastefully styled with plenty of hot water, coffee machine and radio too! Dinner and breakfast were delicious and the staff were polite and friendly. The village is beautiful, quiet and picturesque. We honestly can’t fault our stay at the Ashford Arms ”
