”I stay here most years for an event I attend nearby. The rooms are good value, clean and have everything I need. It is low hassle, quiet and I sleep well. Breakfast is very basic Fruit, pastry and cereal bar hung on the door the day before but suits me for an early start.”
”We stayed in this hotel last night for 1 night. The location is perfect to get to Ross-on-Wye and is located on A road.
The rooms are spacious, clean and nicely decorated. 2 rooms were allocated to us opposite each other which was convenient for a family.
Large rooms and bathrooms, very clean with attention to details. Very comfy bed.
Food was also very good. My children loved it.
Overall great experience. We are planning to go back for a long weekend in September and will definitely stay in...

”Great place to stay, especially with the dog. Fabulous walking right from the pod door. The pods are great, all clean, the double bed is definitely cosy but their description of the pod on the website is accurate, it is basic but they never profess to be anything else. Barbecue in front of each pod is great, we cooked supper and breakfast on it, for all you carnivores, the butcher in Fownhope is fabulous. If you just need a base to chill out in, this is absolutely perfect.”

The hotel is a little out of town, however the food in the hotel is excellent and has a wide choice, with a reasonable selection of vegetarian food, so no real requirement to go out. ”Arrived and were able to check in an hour earlier, we were shown to our room, and windows had been opened to allow the heat to escape. Amazing views. Room very clean and everything you need, water great selection of teas and coffees, and more importantly a fan.
Great quirky pub to enjoy a drink and meal. Very friendly staff and other guests and locals very friendly. Great puppy cuddles with Angus a huge bonus. Would definitely stay again.”

Tidiness and service were of a high standard. Breakfast gets our ten points out of ten, always suiting our needs.
