”What a beautiful room! Great to have a sofa and a big tv with lots of channels to choose from. Slept fairly well, but there was no aircon and the windows opened just a little bit. It’s a bit far from the city centre but totally walkable. Train station about 10 min walk away. It was a lovely stay overall, but very pricey.”

”We had a brilliant stay here. We stayed in Fishergate which we found really comfortable and clean. Our room was serviced during breakfast every day. Breakfast was huge and there were lots of choices including a full English and smoked salmon and eggs. Breakfast is 9-10am every day which suites us well. Even when the hotel was busy, our room was nice and quiet. We asked for a breakfast in our room/to go on our check out day because we left early and we had a beautiful breakfast delivered to...

We had a big room at the front overlooking the street and garden with a huge bay window. Very clean. Breakfast was wonderful. They cater for everyone including vegans, which was a bonus and the table service was very quick. Food was hot and delicious. Staff were all very polite. The only negative was the extremely firm mattress, which I struggled with., but it wouldn't stop us staying...
