”Room was clean and comfortable. Friendly staff good atmosphere in the bar. Food was good. Great aera for exploring. Stayed here before and the function room and some areas are looking neglected we understand the roof needs replacing on the function room and that there are plans in progress shorty. Needs some love to restore the curb appeal around the check in entrance to give a better first impression. Enjoyed our stay here and good value for money.”

”Generally good, clean & well equipped. We did have problems with the shower which would only maintain temperature for approx 1 min & then would turn freezing cold. The only way to reset it was to turn it off & back on again for another 1 minute warm shower. Otherwise a nice property with comfy sofas & good value for money. ”

”I loved the balcony in our room. I have difficulty with walking, and a lift would have been a nice touch. However, the difficulties were overcome, and the staff were extremely good at helping and taking heavy luggage to our rooms. Many thanks. The best policy was to talk to the staff, who were delighted to help in many ways, and they were very good. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and we will use this hotel again. We have no complaints, only our thanks for an extremely enjoyable time”

”The room was very clean and tidy. On the booking it didn't say there breakfast, but when I got into the room there was a lovely breakfast bag. The car park was small but was adequate. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to stay there. Also the staff were very helpful ”

”Really great, absolutely spotless room. Lovely shower. As some of the other reviews suggest, it could do with some hooks for coats and bath towels, and maybe a shelf for toiletries in the shower. ”

”The staff were all polite and helpful, although some seemed a little inexperienced. We ate in the restaurant one night, the food was well presented, but the pork belly was over cooked and the chips were over salted. We also asked for the coffee tray to be cleaned & refreshed. Someone had come in, left a large bag of tea/coffee sachets in the room, but not cleaned the cups & tray - I assume they got distracted & didn't finish the job.”

”This is an amazing place to stop , very clean , warm and everything you need to have a good stay , it was -3 when i stopped but was warm n snug , tesco and lidl at the end of the road. I will definitely be stopping again when im up this way ”
