”Room was clean and comfortable. Friendly staff good atmosphere in the bar. Food was good. Great aera for exploring. Stayed here before and the function room and some areas are looking neglected we understand the roof needs replacing on the function room and that there are plans in progress shorty. Needs some love to restore the curb appeal around the check in entrance to give a better first impression. Enjoyed our stay here and good value for money.”

”The staff were great even though they were very busy and appear to be short staffed. One comment is that you need to be a genius to open the water bottles in the room !!! Also felt the small breads etc at breakfast were very dry . Otherwise a great stop and so loved the decor.”

”Great stay a the Stag - bar staff were excellent and the food was absolutely fantastic . Rooms were spacious and really really clean and comfortable with comfy beds and great bathrooms . Parking was really easy and the welcome was superb . ”

”We stayed one night last weekend, we had to be moved because the toilet flush didn't work but fortunately that wasn't a problem. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms are far enough away from the bar so as to be quiet. Our only small criticism of room 3 is that it's in the eaves and the shower screen is fixed so it is almost impossible to turn on the bath tap without actually getting in the bath! A silly design fault. The location on the river is lovely and it was good to have a drink...

”The staff were all polite and helpful, although some seemed a little inexperienced. We ate in the restaurant one night, the food was well presented, but the pork belly was over cooked and the chips were over salted. We also asked for the coffee tray to be cleaned & refreshed. Someone had come in, left a large bag of tea/coffee sachets in the room, but not cleaned the cups & tray - I assume they got distracted & didn't finish the job.”

”The room was very clean and tidy. On the booking it didn't say there breakfast, but when I got into the room there was a lovely breakfast bag. The car park was small but was adequate. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to stay there. Also the staff were very helpful ”

”Staff are brilliant here. Wonderful breakfast options. The Spa is amazing but sadly filled with people drinking Prosecco at 10am and talking loudly, being disruptive which means it is not a relaxing experience if on your own, or in a couple. ”
