”Handy stopover for trip to London.”

”Room was looking tired and wasn’t the cleanest. Lots of small detailed cleaning is required, extra attention to the woodwork & fittings. Thai restaurant wasn’t very good, over cooked chicken starter, old dressing. Main of Pad Thai was very over cooked, meaning the noodles difficult to eat. Bar staff & reception staff were very good and helpful.”

”The hotel is great; it really has all the good vibes you can expect from such an old building. It actually adds to the experience. Sadly, we went during the heatwave, and our room was so hot- hotter than our teen's room by at least 2-3 degrees Celsius. We had a tiny desk fan with a very small window, so the heat was unbearable with almost no way to cool down. Because we had a vaulted ceiling, I think a ceiling fan should be added for improved airflow. I don't think A/C is required since it...

”No door on the bathroom in the bedroom, which wouldn't be a problem if I couldn't see the toilet from the bed. If you'd like privacy when you go to the toilet, this might not be for you. But other than that, the venue is amazing and the staff were incredible”

”The historic building is simply beautiful, very charming, and well-restored. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was well-equipped. The service in the restaurant was very friendly but extremely slow. The food was rather mediocre. Breakfast was actually quite poor. There was barely a tablespoon of yogurt with the granola, and the toast was cold and hard like rusk. The location itself is beautiful.”

Tällä kertaa huone oli sivusiivessä eikä huoneessa ollut mitään erityistä, aika vaatimaton oikeastaan, mutta hintaansa nähden sekin oli ihan kelpo. Hyvä aamiainen. Loistava sijainti ulkoiluun, hyvät ja kauniit kävelymaastot ja pubeja sopivan matkan päässä. Sijaitsee kauniissa kylässä, joka usein näkyy Midsomerin murhissa - samoin hotelli. Sievää kuin mikä...”

”Good spa, nice breakfast with a decent selection. The hotel has easy parking and check in was good. They weren’t able to manage a 30 minute extension on the room which was disappointing. The food and service in the bar was excellent.”

”We visited the hotel for a business meetings nearby. The place is very traditional English Inn. Nice pub with good food. The rooms are clean and ok, but the place is a little worn down. I a still like it.”

”Visited on Monday 15 June. No staff to check in, just a door bell to security they then let you in to get your key from a key safe inside. No dinner or bar on Monday nights so went to the pub over the road. Double Room petite and bijou but adequate. Left before breakfast so did not speak to any staff during our stay!!!! On our previous visit we did have a very nice breakfast. Recommend it but don’t expect to be pampered, more like an Air B&B at least on a Monday or Tuesday.”
