”It is an old hotel (antique in fact giving it’s been operating for 800 years), so no wall are straight, floors are uneven, hallways are narrow, and there is no elevator. But the conditions are ell kept, and the staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. We would definitely stay there again”

”This is a great place to stay. The rooms were motel style so open the door straight outside which was perfect as we had our 5month puppy with us. Dog friendly too, could take her into the pub. On arrival, in our room was a dog bed, two dog bowls, dog towel and a doggy welcome pack - great touch. Our room was comfy and had everything we needed. ”Lovely hotel right in the town, parking at rear, and a leafy courtyard for afternoon drinks. Our breakfast each morning was perfect, plenty to choose from. Close to New Forest walking and bike riding trails. Walk to pubs, stores and cafes. Staff were very friendly and helpful.”

Nice menu with a variety of options all prepared and presented extremely well.
Nice room, but did have to ask for a change of sheets after 6 days. Would also have liked a grab bar in the shower. My wife and I are seniors and were nervous about slipping. However, have to say the shower was the easiest to use of any hotel we have stayed in.
