We enjoyed our stay. It was nice to be able to bring our fur babies along. The property needs a few updates but the AC works well and it is a unique house and right on the water.

The property has plenty of space and areas of individual privacy for a large family. Be prepared to supply your own bed sheets, towels and other linens. The property has kayaks and a paddle boat but they are mostly broken, I assume by previous guest.

The property was exactly what we were looking for for a larger group of people. We enjoyed the cooking area, the living room area, the outside (both the courtyard and backyard). One thing that surprised us a little was there were no linens or towels. A store run was able to fix that. It may have been missed in communication before.

This is a very unique property. If you are looking for fancy, this is not the house for you. If you are looking for a rustic lake house with lots of room for the family to spread out, awesome gathering areas, all the modern conveniences you could want, nice quiet creek for kayaking, dock for tying up your boat, and a very peaceful and quiet neighborhood, this property is perfect. We had a blast and can't wait to book again!

Not Your Typical Lake House

**Not clean** and smelly inside, but such a delight outside! (where we spent most of our time) quirky set up with no bathroom in interior part of the house, along with a few other issues, but we made do, after all we were at the lake :)

good view, nice backyard but horrible house

Let me start of by saying the view was cool and the backyard was nice. The outdoor area you can chill inside the house is also cool. This is the only positives I have for this house otherwise, the inside was dirty, it smells like mold, its very outdated, cockroaches everywhere and the beds are very very unvcomfortable., you can buy $100 beds on amazon that are better. Owner needs to update this property, I wont be staying here again

This place could be top tier

Although we had a great time on the lake, this place could be top tier if the beds were updated. Uncomfortable beds were the biggest complaint from my guests. Mattresses are old even in the newest updated upstairs cottage. The "barbecue grill" is a gas griddle. There are not enough life jackets to enjoy the kayaks and paddle boat. There were no darts for the dart board. The cornhole boards are warped and no fun. I gave this 4 stars bc it has plenty of room for 12 or more guests and it is on the water with a private dock.

Great Place for family to gather

First of all the rental property was great for our family. You are able to have privacy as well as all be together. we loved the dock area and enclosed courtyard. Would def rent this again if the beds are updated as they are small double beds and hard to accommodate a couple, we had guests sleep on the main living area couches. Bathrooms are available in each room however the main bedroom inside main living area did not have facilities to use so in middle of night you must go into court yard to use adjoining bathroom. The house was great but required a wipedown of all surfaces esp kitchen before unpacking, also broken glass bottle in bar area that we had to clean brfore the kids arrived. There were dead beetles inside main bedroom closet and no vacuum or mop on premises to tidy up. If you rent in the summer fans are a must.

Memorial Day Vacay 2024

Property is perfect for a big group. You need to understand the layout of rooms/baths to make sure it works for your group. Loved the courtyard, game room, reading room, backyard, etc. The living room furniture is very comfortable. The large table is very accommodating and kitchen is well stocked with dishes, etc. You do need to take linens and towels which we were informed about. We also had to supply all paper products, which we didn't know prior to arrival. The major downfall is that whoever was cleaning the property didn't. It hadn't been aired out or properly cleaned. The host provided some refund due to the inconvenience of us having to clean enough to make it comfortable. Pillows and a few mattresses could use an upgrade. I would stay at the property again with the understanding that everything was up to standard. There is so much potential. Due to humid conditions and being near the water the house can't be closed up for extended periods of time between rentals. I don't know if this is the first time the property was used as a rental because there were no reviews. Our stay is the perfect opportunity to take advantage of improvements that need to take place for future guest.

Disappointed

Upon arrival, I noticed the house was not clean. I cleaned the kitchen counters before I set my food on them. The refrigerator and freezer smelled strongly of fish. I bought two taking soda fridge packs and we poured coffee in a bowl to place in them to absorb the odor. The bedroom inside the living area had dead bugs in the closet and on the carpet. The bathroom showers had hair in them One of the bedrooms had a straw and opened bottle of water. That bathroom was slow to flush and slow shower drain. The re was a shoe and an open bottle of water under the couch. On the last night we were there, I noticed the kitchen sink gurgling. Shortly afterwards my granddaughter said their shower was backing up. When my son in law checked it, it had sewage backing up in the shower. At this point we were scared to use the bathrooms. We immediately moved our granddaughter out of the bedroom into the living area to sleep. I texted the property manager to let him know of the sewage situation. I also told him I was unhappy with the condition of the house. He made no apologies for the house. He claimed he had cleaned the house. I guess my idea of clean and his are totally different. Also we were not expecting the bedrooms and bathrooms to be outside. The setup of the house should be explained in the description for clarity.
