”We stayed in a room that had a shower over the bath, quite a step to get out, we feel a bath mat should be provided. The towels are lovely and big, the bed was very comfortable but the pillows need replacing. Nice place to stay as it’s an easy walk into town. Yes we would stay here again.”

”The room was basic but spotless. The bathroom toiletries were lovely. Everywhere had a fresh coat of paint and bathroom had recently been resealed everywhere so looked fresh / newly refurbed. Breakfast was in a nice room by the garden and quiet. Food was ok but I didn’t like the sausages. I heard them cooking eggs to order. Car parking was a blessing and staff were very friendly. Pillows could have been less hard. Location was perfect. Overall, a great little place to stay.”

”The hotel is situated in a fantastic location with great views, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about what guests expect and they deliver with ease, the rooms are unique and comfortable which complement the amazing views The car park is ample and safe for hotel guests and for restaurant diners our continental breakfast was great and accompanied by a barista coffee, well worth the visit and looking forward to visiting again ”

”Room was eh, very noisy and zero air flow. Smelled very moldy and my nose is stuffed up after in night. Decided to eat local at the restaurant and was a disaster. €60 for two people and was the worst risotto, basically eating straight pepper seasoning, my GF had a burger and was so spicy she was sweating. Then had to wait nearly an hour to get a desert, that tasted very off, like expired tasting. To top it off, not really a reception, so you have to go to the bar, and wait like you are...

”This is a nice place to stay. The staff were lovely and the room was what it says, a comfort room. The shower was brilliant. Nice and spacious with lots of powerful hot water.”

”A truly delightful hotel in a convenient location with excellent staff and facilities. Impossible to fault overall - 2 tips… dont park under the trees in front of the building. I dont know what the birds eat, but they eat A LOT of it. Then theres steps….pack light, you’ll be hauling your luggage up a LOT of steps :-) - its a 13th century manor house, lifts werent a “thing” !”

”Excellent restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. We both had the venison which was delicious. Plenty of choice for breakfast including Eggs Royale. Helpful friendly staff. Parking free and easy. Quiet at night despite being between 2 main roads! Nice 30mins walk into Stow. Only downside was the room was quite small for the price.”

”Comfortable bed. Car parking was questionable as the public from the multiple fast food outlets out the front of the hotel all parked in the same area and we had to pay £10 for the parking privilege for a 2 night stay. We removed all luggage from vehicle because we didn’t feel safe leaving it to be viewed in the vehicle.”
