RiverSong Retreat on the Tuckaseegee
Wake up to the gentle sound of the river flowing past your backyard. Sip coffee on the porch as morning mist rises from the water. Cast a fly rod from the riverbank, spend the afternoon floating downstream, then gather around the firepit beneath a sky full of stars.
Discover a private riverfront escape nestled on 1.2 beautifully landscaped acres along the Tuckaseegee River in the heart of Western North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains. Here, the sounds of the river replace traffic, schedules, and everyday distractions.
Enjoy the feeling of being miles away from everything while remaining less than 10 minutes from historic downtown Sylva, Western Carolina University, restaurants, breweries, shopping, grocery stores, and everyday conveniences.
Guests often tell us they planned to spend their vacation exploring the mountains, only to discover that their favorite moments happened right here by the river.

THE RIVER EXPERIENCE
The Tuckaseegee River is the centerpiece of the property and the reason many guests return year after year.
Bring your fly rod and fish for trout just steps from the house. During stocking season, anglers often catch trout directly from the backyard.
On warm summer days, launch a tube upstream and float back to the house, or begin at the property and enjoy a leisurely one-hour float to the Locust Creek access area approximately one-half mile downstream. Wade in the shallow water, skip rocks with the kids, watch for herons and wildlife, or simply settle into an Adirondack chair beneath the trees and listen to the soothing sounds of the river.
Many guests arrive with plans to explore every day and soon find themselves lingering a little longer by the water, watching the sunlight dance across the river and wondering why they don't do this more often.
