”We enjoyed our very short stay at La Bonita Lodge. Unfortunately the airline lost our luggage so we spent most of our day in San Jose buying clothes before heading down to Puerto Viejo. We arrived late but had a nice dinner at Banana Azul and then were able to use the easy to follow directions to gain access to the property and our room. The room was spotless and welcoming. We weren't able to park our car in the lot as it was full but after contacting the host we were told it was fine to park on...

”Beautiful resort style hotel in the middle of the jungle, yet close enough to restaurants in town and the beach.
It has its own private parking lot. Lobby is very nice and sheltered from the rain. Staff communicates everything you need to know and is very friendly. The welcome drinks were a nice touch.
The pool is beautiful and clean. The bar is spacious and it seems there is something for everyone, even the kiddos.
Our double twin room was spacious and clean. I only wish it had a bedside...
