”Friendly welcome at reception, room had recently been refurbished to a high standard. Beds were very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. Hotel is clean and modern with a great fitness centre. The pool was decent and there’s also a good sauna Breakfast was a very good buffet and we sat out on the sunny terrace to eat. A great stay while my son was training at the football centre, would definitely stay again.”

”My room was infested with moths and other bugs as well as being dirty - after squishing many bugs the final straw for me was a small black bug on the bed which I wasn't sure if it was a bedbug or not. We asked for another room which the staff were more than happy to do but unfortunately my children were not happy and were very scared so we had to check out after only being there for a couple of hours.”

”Lovely old building. Nice bathtub. Lots of parking. Staff were very helpful n friendly. Excellent breakfast. Lidl is right across the road.”

”I have to say I waa really surprised at how nice this place was. The only issue for me (being a bigger bloke) was i couldn't fit in the shower as it only has a s.mall opening but I was able to get around .”

”We had a lovely stay, the farm is stunning, we loved the access to the gardens and watching the cows and chickens and our host Sarah was great. The only thing I would suggest would be placing a fan in the rooms as they can get really hot in the unusually warm weather”

”This is a charming country house and everyone was amazing. We enjoyed a walk around the property and the food was spot on. You can’t go wrong staying here if in the neighborhood. If you’re also familiar wrote ceramics, you’ll find several ships about 10-15 mins away that is a great place to browse and shop. ”

”Check in was no frills. We arrived half an hour before check in and was offered a room but for an extra fee. I accidentally booked the room for one person so had to pay an extra £12 for breakfast which was fair enough but on check out an additional £10 for the extra person which I thought was unfair.”

”Difficult to get to due to being gated and having to request entry via the intercom. Room was reasonably clean and quite basic. Headboard was hard, but the bed was comfortable. Surprisingly they still use old fashioned keys for door entry. Reception was closed at 0930 when we checked out and dropped off the key in a box attached to the wall.”

”Breakfast and Dinner were excellent . The bar service was excellent also, they made our drinks even though they were not on the menu (twice). Staff is great. We highly recommend.”

”Great location, easy to get to, great big parking, nice little village with a Chinese takeout across the street, a Coop close by. Sadly the cleanliness of the room was poor. Grime in the bathroom where floor meets walls. Very dirty remote control, some kind of sauce spilled on the side of the chest of drawers. Bed linen clean and bed comfortable. The radiator nob not functioning as it should. Should have stayed two nights but left after the first. Sorry, but proper cleaning of the room is so...

”The hotel in general was very good. Just personally, we had a few issues Our main issue is that the hotel. It's so big with long hallways and lots of steps, considering we have a child in a Pram and lots of luggage it was so exhausting to carry everything from the car park to walk across to the hotel. And then find your room. Its hell of a long walk with steps. When we arrived, they gave us a room on the top floor with loads of steps, and the windows barely opened. So we complained and changed...

”Check-in was great and the family room we booked was clean and a good size. I removed some stars based on a couple of things. The service, mostly 20 somethings, didn’t come with much of a smile which seems normal these days unless they are well trained by the older generation who realise what service means. ”I was given room 3 which was average and definitely not like the advertised photos or reviews, there was not hot water which happens, I was then given an 'up grade' to an upstairs room where the shower head was broken and the electric shower when set at medium went from cold to burning on its own, clearly faulty. Bed was very comfortable but the room was dated. Unable to offer comment on the breakfast as I had to leave before it started, 8am is quite late for midweek.”
