” If your looking to get away from it all - and everyone - and you wished to visit Terlingua, Big Bend , the Chihuahuan desert, Lajitas, and Presido…. This is the spot. I had looked at 3-5 other spots. I saw those places on this trip. Research pays off. The Stargazer is off to itself. Quiet. Peaceful solitude. The views and sunrise/sunsets are second to none . Excellent hosts. Felt very taken care of. ”

”The house was close to all of our destinations: Big Bend NP, Big Bend Ranch SP, and Terlingua Ghosttown. The house was very clean and had room for everyone to sit and eat and play games together. Also, had a great view of the sunrise and night skies. ”

”Rustic but very comfortable in a rustic area. The beds are comfortable, the air conditioners were cold, and the house was clean and well stocked. The bathrooms were clean and well supplied. Checking in and entering the house was very easy. Check out was as easy as a text saying we were gone. The town is very rustic and real close to Terlingua Ghost town, and Lajitas. And very close to the Big Bend National Park West Entrance.”

”The title says it all, there is absolutely no light pollution at Casa Tranquilla!!! I was there with another member of TAAS (The Albuquerque Astronomical Society) and we imaged with our telescopes and brought home over 20 hours of integration. If you know Bortles Class we were pulling down 21.40's-21.62 on our SQM each night putting it at Bortles 2-3. However it felt much dark and there wasn't any part of the sky that was not viewable! If you stay up late and watch the Milky Way Rise it will...

”Loved our stay at Fossil Knob Ridge Cinnabar house! Property was clean and well maintained. It is quite remote and a bit difficult to get to, but once you are there, the view makes it all worthwhile. The recommendations for things to do and places to eat were great as well. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this property to other travelers! ”

”This property has a wonderful porch to enjoy coffee in the morning, and wine, etc in the evening. The shower is large and plenty of towels. The bed was comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. Explicit instructions provided for checkout. Plus sent us instructions how to get to the place, gps will not work. We hiked in Big Bend while staying at this home. ”

”We wanted to have a full Big Bend experience. After doing research online, I went with this location. The videos on their website sold me. We could see the Chiscos mountains from our patio. It was designed to help block the winds at night. We sat under the stars by our fire and just soaked it up. The bed and pillows were comfy, and we felt like we were really in the middle of nowhere...perfect. The hosts were easy to communicate with and the stay was everything we wanted. ”
