”This property is superior in every way!! Was looking for an out of the hustle & bustle of the seaside accommodations and this was it! Walking distance to historic district and other Galveston Island attractions. Chef/proprietors Michael & Rosie could not do enough to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. Didn’t have the pleasure of dinner but breakfast was perfect and prepared specifically for us. Loved the grounds, house, and perfectly detailed suite/cottage. Kuddis & thank you to them 😊”

”A very unique experience that our family enjoyed. The Silverfoot is quite big. We had plenty of room for two adults and 4 kids. Wandering around the rail yard after hours is really fun. Location is very good. Easy to walk to the Strand and the sea wall. Getting in and out of the property can be a bit tedious as you have to call the caretaker to unlock the gates but he’s very responsive. The guest fees go to help support the rail museum which we liked. Overall we would recommend and would stay...

"Noisy room during the daytime and noisy bed during the nightime. We did not experience southern hospitality to get things right and to get offered services, did not happen fluently, more or less blunt. We had problems with the prebooked early check-in, but was solved 1 hour later. They did not recognize Hotels.com vip-benefits, which were shown when we booked the hotel, even when we ask about it. We were told that they are independed of those. Good things were location and the spacious room. Hopefully, when the world cup soccer tournament comes to town next month, things get better!"

"The breakfast buffet was great, fresh fruit and berries and healthy choices - was a wonderful start to the day! Special thanks to Alma and the breakfast staff- the ladies are very busy but all the time keeping a smile on their face and very kind and attentative. I had some issues with the initial check in, but special thanks to Yusal at the reception for being super accomodating and going an extra mile with keeping me happy. The location of the hotel is great - you can walk to restaurants and the mall is very close. The hotel even had a driver, Manuel, who you one could call to come pick you up from the mall before too late, which was great for me as was traveling alone. Great service and location over all. The only feedback I would leave for improvement for me was the smell in the gym - I think it was from the scent machines maybe? It did get worse towards the evening, when the doors to the pool were not opening as often and the fresh air was not able to come in. "
