”The room was very large and comfortable. The included breakfast was very good. The staff were friendly and polite. Only problem was checking in. Have to check in at the building beside the rooms. Signage for that on the Claymore would help”

”Beautiful hotel, nice and comfortable room. Surroundings are beautiful. There was loud noise coming from kitchen's ventilation or something like that late in the evening and early in the morning. Otherwise room was quiet. Front desk service was really great and welcoming. Service in the restaurant was quite lousy. Our waitress first brought the butter and bread maybe 10-15 minutes later. Drinks she forgot to ask and another waitress ask them just before we got our food. The restaurant wasn't...

”Dean and Paul were exceptional hosts, and within minutes after our arrival it felt like we were visiting with old friends. It truly was one of the warmest and friendliest environments I have ever experienced at a boutique hotel. Paul’s skills as a chef were amazing, as well! The breakfasts were superb and the lone dinner eaten at the hotel was also memorably delicious. Clean rooms, super staff and a great location for exploring central Scotland, the Birchwood Pitlochry checks all these boxes...

”The accommodation was ok needs some maintenance on sealant round toilet unit and sink unit but no biggy. Comfortable and good value for money. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The cooked breakfast had elements that were dried out black pudding/haggis and tomatoes the potato scones had been deep fried and were very greasy. Other items were freshly cooked, pancakes. I would go back but go self catering”
