”Sofa sleeper bed was awful”

”What happened to Marriott brands? We stayed at the Castleton (Indiana) one this past weekend and . . well . . the room was very clean; that’s the best I can say and maybe that’s enough for you. On the other hand: The wall thermostat was broken (or never was operational) so we had a floor unit beside the window that sounded like a propeller forcing air from the far end of the room. Yet, the ambiance was fitting for a room with only one device port. In 2026, at a Hilton hotel, there is one...

”Upon check-in, I was advised that the elevator was out of service in our room was on the third floor. So we had to walk up and down three flights of stairs during our stay. This was upsetting as my mother had planned to come with us, but at the last minute decided not to. If she had come, I don't know how we would've gotten up and down the stairs as she uses a walker. ”The room was nice, except the bathtub was filthy. The man at the check in desk was very friendly and accommodating. They are apparently in the middle of remodeling, and the rooms are much nicer than the rest of the building. The hallways were very loud and dingy, and there was a person lying on the floor in the middle of the hallway at 11:30 pm when we checked in after a concert.”
