”Excellent food and service both for evening meal and breakfast.
We had the private dining room, which for a larger party I really can recommend. Though we were not required to we pre-ordered which made the whole evening seamless.
Probably just me but there were 6 different light switches in the room. Finding the right combination for bathroom, ceiling and bedside trial and error.

Staff were very friendly and on arrival and throughout our stay. went out of there way to help or deal with any issue. great service.
Breakfast was included. Good choice was offered and was delivered quickly and efficiently.
Evening meals were great value for money and plenty of choice.
Bar had a nice cosy relaxing atmosphere.
The old lodge stay was as expected would recommend.”

”This is a beautiful hotel in all aspects! The breakfast was the nicest hotel I have had in a long while and I travel alot!!
Perfectly situated for the coast, we visited Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay and whitby; and for York and Harrogate.
Would definately stay here again if we find ourselves in that part of the country again!!”
