”Great stay. See review on Sykes Cottages site”

”Absolute gem of a place. Sarah is very hospitable and has all the amenities you need for a stay. The room was lovely and clean and breakfast was superb. We loved our stay and would love to come back one day thank you.”

”Amazing hotel! Great facilities! Would definitely go back!”

”Lovely stay”

”Great stay in a very friendly country inn. All the staff were super friendly and helpful, the Guinness was great, the bed was really comfortable and I look forward to coming back. One note if you’re an American like me— don’t just ask Siri to get directions to the Dog & Partridge because apparently there’s a pub with that name in every village, lol. When I finally got to the right one, though, it was worth it!”

”Excellent stay, really comfortable room with helpful staff. Restaurant was a gastronomic experience and I lived it.”

”Will not be returning, staff not helpful at all, dog friendly but couldn’t even let the dog have a sausage at breakfast as they had ran out, they had also ran out of biscuits for the room, garden peas and orange juice. Not a cheap nights stay so these things should not be running out!! Best staff were the morning we were leaving, had they had been on all weekend it would have made it a more pleasant stay”

”This property is beyond a ten in every way, it is everything an English country cottage should be. The village is delightful and the local pubs and people are very friendly. Lots of lovely walks. We were sad to leave.”

”Nice lounge to relax and read. Breakfast was great quality, lots of choice and good coffee! We booked a private room with ensuite which was in the barn annex. This was basic, but ok, but the heating wasn't working in that building. Soaking wet after 20mile walk. Staff eventually moved us to another private room, 4 bed, in the main building. On arrival at 5pm was told to order dinner before 6.30pm as there was a large group booked in at 7pm. So we did at 6.00pm only to be told the chef was now...

”A cheap and cheerful night on the outskirts of Derby. The hotel is rather hidden away and not well signposted. I checked in, room was clean with tea/coffee available. The rooms are single storey, bungalow style There is parking right outside of the rooms”

”I had a wonderful stay at Stonecroft Lodge. I have stayed before and will look to return again as testament to the quality of the accommodation and also the peace and relaxation factor.”

”2 families stayed whilst visiting Alton Towers. We couldn’t have stayed any closer, The Old Barn literally on the doorstep. The property have a very homely feel which made relaxing easy. There was plenty of room for the 12 of us. We could even all sit together around the large table in the kitchen to eat together. Beds were very comfortable and the location was quiet. The only noise at night was our bed which creaked really loudly every time me or my husband moved dispute that we slept very...

”Good communication very clean”

”Amazing family farm house in a stunning location with beautiful views. Property was spotlessly clean and had absolutely everything you need for a home away from home. Check in was smooth and any questions were answered efficiently by the hosts. Would definitely recommend to anyone family or small group who wish to get away from it all. Thank you”

”We had a wonderful stay at Curlew Cottage. The location is great with fantastic views over the dales, although the weather was against us a bit. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. Everything we needed for self catering was provided. The only thing we would have liked was a mattress topper as my wife and I found the bed a little firm, but that is personal preference. We had the absolute pleasure of seeing the resident barn owl on a few occasions which was a real treat. All in...
